What prep items are good for attic storage? Hot in the summer/cold in the winter.

firearms, ammo, precious metals, straw and/or hay. Not the place for human food. Perhaps, water, if your structure can support the weight. If you don't have room in your closets for those cold weather sleeping bags, survival gear, perhaps you can store them upstairs.
